It is almost Valentine’s Day and love is in the air. You can still enjoy Valentine’s Day on keto… make a keto dessert for your special someone or go out to a nice restaurant that has keto options. There are also many keto chocolates that you can buy or you can just make some. Our keto chocolates are super easy and very delicious. Cards and flowers are always an option too and they have, literally, no carbs! 😁Whatever you do this Valentine’s Day I hope you have a great one. 💘
As for the update I have started to track my food and have begun some exercise. I have also been doing more IF. So hopefully I can break through this plateau that I have been in for the last seven months. I love doing the keto diet and I have been keto for nearly two years now. Even though I have stalled on my weight loss, I know that this is what I am supposed to be doing.
When I did have some extra carbs over the holidays it made me feel like garbage. Before starting keto I could not lose anything no matter what I tried. This is the only thing that I have been able to be consistent on and lose weight. So even though it has been a while since I lost anything I would not stop doing keto for anything. I will get to where I need to go eventually. In the meantime, I will just enjoy the ride.

A Fitness Update…
Well, I have procrastinated long enough. Aside from my regular morning yoga and tai chi routines, I have not really worked out at all in the past year. Sure, there have been random moments of motivation, where I would jump on the Aerofit Glider for a twenty-minute cardio/aerobic session or a quick inspirational weight training bout. However, there was nothing really that I stuck to as a regimen.
The other day my eldest son wanted to compare biceps muscles and I was hesitant because I have not worked out in such a long time. It turned out that my biceps ended up being 14 1/2″ and his 13 1/2″. Now, back when I was a bodybuilding hobbyist in my 20’s my biceps measured 18″ and it took a long time and a lot of hard work to get there. To see how much I actually lost over the years gave me the motivation to get back into some kind of workout plan.
So, I am going to start out with a program from the Darebee.com website (it was called NeilaRey.com a few years back when I used to use it). If you are looking for a fitness routine and have never been to this site I highly suggest you check it out. There are all kinds of workouts, fitness activities, and even nutrition/meal plans/recipes that are fully described and most with visuals.
The program I am choosing to implement from Darebee.com is the Fighter’s Codex. Since I am into martial arts it seemed to be the right choice. I may also include some weight training a couple times a week. I am really excited to get back into a fitness regimen.
