When my wife first came to me a year ago with the idea of trying the “Keto Diet” together, I was not hesitant. This is because I had previously read about it a couple months before and got all the required info. It seemed like a sound way to lose weight and start a healthier lifestyle. So, of course, I was on board.
At the start, I weighed in at 210 lbs at 5’7″. In seven days I lost ten pounds and around the first month of the diet, I dropped twenty pounds! All of this while doing very minimal daily exercise. Also, prior to starting, I was getting regular nosebleeds and acne, both of which stopped completely.
Most people are skeptical and there are a lot of naysayers because “going Keto” sounds extreme. I am here to tell you it is not. Sure, I am eating a lot healthier than I ever have in my entire life, but I am eating foods that I enjoy. Plus, I feel a whole lot better!
I still get to eat a lot of tasty foods, so there is not much sacrifice going on. It is just a matter of a little discipline and trading in the old foods you used to eat for new ones that are fewer carbs. It does not have to be a difficult process, just a simple matter of choices.
